PSHE
At Heatherside Infant School, Personal, Social, Health Education is embedded in all that we do, enabling our children to become resilient, independent learners. It helps prepare children for life as engaged citizens by developing their emotional literacy, social skills and spiritual development. SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural) development opportunities are mapped throughout the curriculum, as well as embedding the school values: Respect, Kindness, Integrity, Togetherness, Resilience and Creativity.
Our PSHE curriculum equips our children with relevant and meaningful content, which is supported through a strong emphasis on building resilience and nurturing mental and physical health. In an ever-changing society, we are able to provide our children with a strong understanding of the diverse world around them and support them in playing a positive role in contributing to the school and the wider community.
