Heatherside Schools' Association (HSA)
Raising funds that benefit YOUR children
The thousands of pounds raised all go to adding value to the two schools and have already contributed to securing the new look infant courtyard, interactive whiteboards, junior kitchen and the updated Year R canopy area.
As well as raising money, the HSA creates a fun environment to meet other new parents, foster hidden talents and maybe learn a few more! There’s no obligation to do anything but any help is greatly appreciated.
The Heatherside Schools’ Association – the HSA
The HSA are parents and teachers from both the Infant and Junior schools, who meet to plan and co-ordinate social and fundraising events for pupils and parents of the schools. It is the ‘PTA’ for the two schools.

Heatherside Photo Competition 2020
Our first ever Heatherside Photo Competition was held in November 2020, full details below:
We are excited to announce the winning entries soon!
Sadly, we are unable to hold our traditional Christmas Fair this year. We are, however, looking at lots of other community activities for the children and their families to enjoy, including a Christmas Trail for families to follow during the holidays.
Pumpkin Trail 2020
For some half-term fun, the H S A put together a Pumpkin Trail around the local area for our children and their families to follow. The children enjoyed following the map to find all the pumpkins. Each pumpkin picture had a letter displayed and once you had found them all you were able to spell out a phrase! The correct entries were entered into a draw and the winner in each Year Group received a pumpkin-themed prize.
It's Snow Joke! Our Christmas Fair 2019
The HSA worked tirelessly to organise our Christmas Fair on Saturday 23rd November. It was fantastic to see so many Heatherside Families join us at the fair and get into the festive spirit! Our Year 2 children enjoyed writing their own "snow jokes" ahead of the event and our school was decorated with beautiful snowflakes and jolly snowmen designed by all the children.
As always, we rely on staff, parents and their families to support in any way they can and would like to thank all our amazing volunteers who helped before, during and after the Fair. As usual, we use the online link to volunteer; an hour of your time can make such a difference to the event for everyone. Thank you for your support.
