Year 2
In Year 2 the children continue to follow the National Curriculum.
At the end of the year the children will be assessed against the national expectations for the end of Year 2 and therefore Key Stage 1 (KS1). When making a final judgement at Key Stage 1 children are judged as to whether they have :
- Met the national standard - ARE
- Working below national expectation - WTS
- Working at greater depth (beyond expectation) - GDS

These KS1 assessments take place during May annually. Please ensure any illness absences are reported promptly to the School Office by 9.15am. As these screenings are a statutory requirement, absence requests, unless for exceptional circumstances, will NOT be authorised.
